The Product Manager, K-12 Digital Content Products provides strategic direction for the K-12 product line, is responsible for the combined product line P&L and is responsible for ensuring there is a seamless transition from strategy to execution with colleagues in product development, finance, sales, marketing and services within Emantras.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drives planning and execution of a strategic plan for the product line in close collaboration with counterparts across Emantras.
- Develops an extensive awareness of the product line’s strengths and weaknesses relative to educational trends, market opportunities and competitive threats. Recommends adjustments to product strategies to maximize opportunities for top-line and bottom-line growth.
- Supports, encourages and fosters intelligent risk taking and innovation solutions to build and deliver new business models that improve educational impact of our products and financial performance.
- Works with the production teams and sales/biz dev to coordinate the timely development of product requirements and budget.
- Works with sales and marketing to establish pricing and product packaging, build the marketing materials, campaign strategy, plans and support to be successful in the marketplace.
- Manages financial performance of the product line by monitoring sales forecasts and pipelines as well as product line expenses. Recommends changes to current operating approaches to maximize product line performance.
- Recommends exit strategies, acquisition targets and partnership strategies in support of product line goals.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Related work experience
- 5-8 years of K-12 digital products or related industry experience
- Knowledge of the K-12 digital market and product strategies along with overall K-12 market knowledge. Past experience in teaching or education related product development, marketing or sales is a plus.
- 5 years experience writing business plans, performing market analysis and building and managing budgets.
- Experience managing a P&L
- Proven experience effectively leading a cross functional team where not all participants are direct reports

Formal education or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s of Business Administration is a plus

Skills
- Proven ability to build product strategies and coherent business plans and oversee those products from conception through sales.
- Strategic thinker who can integrate and translate educational trends into product solutions and market positioning.
- Proven ability to lead a team, create a supportive work climate, and deliver results as a team. Previous experience working with cross-functional teams is a plus.
- Strong track record of developing partnerships, both internal and external to the organization.
- Ability to develop and monitor P & L’s.
- Strong writing and communication skills

Salary Range:
60K – 80K + incentives
