UW-Stout: Good Training Opens the Door to Your Future

Gifted LearningLinks, the online program of the Center for Talent Development at Northwestern University is looking part-time instructors to teach Honors World History and AP European History beginning with the new 2009-10 academic year, which starts on September 15, 2009.

Gifted LearningLinks instructors create and deliver their own syllabus based on our template using the Blackboard system. Our honors and advanced placement courses are open to qualified students in grades 6-12. Courses are open for enrollment monthly and run for nine months. They are based on a facilitated independent study model, which allows students to interact with each other and their instructor, while providing the flexibility to move through the course at their own pace.

Preferred qualifications include content area expertise at the high school level, online teaching experience and some knowledge and experience working with academically talented students.

Send a resume along with a cover letter explaining your approach to online learning to:
gll@northwestern.edu.
