Job Description:
Provide system-wide leadership in the development and delivery of online distance education programs, including: conducting needs assessments and market analyses for possible new undergraduate, graduate, and professional development programs; coordinating the development of new online programs including multi-campus, inter-institutional, and international online initiatives; building statewide and national/international awareness of online distance education programs; managing system-wide support services for course development and delivery; and representing the system with professional associations, major employers, and other external constituents with regard to online distance education.

Qualifications:
Earned doctorate with a history of progressively responsible leadership of a university-wide distance education, continuing education, or program development unit. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically with a diverse set of partners both within the university and externally and the ability to lead in a team environment, including leading peers is necessary. Successful experience in working with foundations, governmental and nongovernmental organizations, and other external funding sources is required. Respect for the diversity of an academic community and comprehensive and current understanding of the needs and purposes of a major public research university with land grant responsibilities is essential.
